Description:

Refined with sleeker styling and no less than 14 cooling vents, the G10 Helmet is on track to unseat the Nine.9 as king of the mountain. Giro keeps the helmet light with a special in-mold construction that fuses a rugged polycarbonate outer shell with the impact-absorbing EPS liner. This innovative fusion also gives Giro a better medium for sculpting enhanced ventilation. Unlike the Nine.9 with weather strip vent plugs, the G10 has an adjustable Thermostat control that you can modify without removing the helmet. The skate-oriented styling is killer for the park or halfpipe, but that shouldn't make freeriders feel like they are out of the picture. Giro kept the G10 light with an in-mold construction that reduces the weight around the EPS liner without compromising the ASTM F2040 certification.

Features:

Light Weight Molded Construction

Integrated vent system with 3 settings

Goggle Notch and Removable Earpads

Compatible with Tune-ups and Tune-ups II

1 year limited warranty - CERTIFICATION: ASTM F2040 & CE EN1078 (EU)

5Great fitting helmet!Dec 22, 2008
I bought this helmet last year, so have gotten several weeks of skiing with it already. It not only fits great, but keeps my head warm...not sure why I was so resistant to the idea of wearing one for so long! There's a snap in the back, to keep the goggles from falling off, which is great. The adjustable vent is a nice feature for cooling down during warmer days (or harder runs) and for staying warm on chair lifts. Using a lycra helmet "hat" under it helps keep the face warm & the helmet fitting more snugly.

This is my 3rd ski helmet and so far the best. I originally bought this helmet for how it fit my head and and goggles (A-Frames) and was very impressed with how it preformed in the cold. It is warm and the adjustable vents do help control the airflow. For my head it is a perfect fit.

Where this helmet really preforms is in protection though. I ski hard and occasionally fall hard. Recently though I took a hard spill while wearing this helmet and still got knocked out. The helmet is dented slightly, but still absorbed most of the impact. I tell you If I didn't wear a helmet I would be dead or at least a vegetable.

Simply put if you want a fine piece of equipment that preforms Buy this helmet.

My wife loves this helmet - it's warm, comfortable and protects her head...and it's pink. The only small imperfection is that she has curly hair that was getting stuck inside - but we've fixed this with a thin head warmer.
