Custom Fit ComfortDec 16, 2008 Pros: Improved weight, custom fit, detachable visor, liner strips removable for washing
Cons: Price. It's a helmet!
This is my first upgraded helmet since I started riding a road bike for fitness. I originally bought a Giro "one size fits all" helmet. It was light, but it kept making me wonder if I was forever going to be subjected to this discomfort just to keep my noggin safe.
I did a lot of research and decided to try the Giro Pneumo. What a huge difference! It does seem lighter, but the ability to really customize the fit seals the deal for me. Still, I ask myself if I will have to shell out $$$ every few years for basic helmet protection.

Worked well in a crashApr 20, 2008 I like this helmet. I had a bad crash last June--went down hard and fast at 25 mph. The helmet broke in 4 places, distributed the force of the impact across the my skull, and protected me from more serious injury. I replaced it with another Pneumo.
It gives noticeably more ventilation than the Giro Eclipse, my previous helmet, and seems to have a somewhat lower profile. It is 38 grams heavier (about 10 percent) than the Eclipse due to foam that seems more dense.

Light, comfortable, and looks very coolJun 10, 2007 I don't know how protective this helmet is since I have never been in a bicycle accident with this helmet (and hopefully never will =) ).
Since I have a rather large head, I didn't want to wear a helmet that would make it look even larger. I had a cheap $30 bicycle helmet from Bell which made me look like a Braniac.
This helmet makes me look like some cool Japanese animation cyber robot hero. It fits me well and I look swell.
It is light and has plenty of ventiliation. It has a size adjuster inside which you can control so the helmet can fit perfectly with your head. It comes with a visor which provides extra sun protection for the face. Above all, it almost fits like a fashion piece rather than a dorky looking contraption.
I wear a size Large. So stay away from Extra Large unless you are a very big person with extra large head (if your head is bigger than mine then your head is gigantic). The medium size should be big enough for most people.
